I'm very pleased to let you know the art launch for my Ear Hustle artworks was a great success. Titled Grasping the Nettle, the exhibition was created after I approached Boom Gate gallery following being offered the contract to illustrate the book This Is Ear Hustle, and also featured artworks from other former and current prisoners. Among the attendees of the exhibition were MP Matt Thistlethwaite, Commissioner of Corrective services Kevin Corcoran and Deputy Commissioner Luke Grant. Productive conversations were had regarding the development of rehabilitation courses, and also the possibility of having Paper Chained made available to inmates via tablets. If you're in Sydney, do check the exhibition out if you get a chance. At this stage the exhibition is likely to be extended for a couple weeks from its current closing date of January 9, 2022, though exact dates are to be confirmed.
